Internships
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates some of the themes addressed in lectures and study trips with experience and the development of skills in a working environment. It can be a way to explore the professional world by developing or enriching new skills and gaining insight into one’s own professional objectives.
Internships may take place at businesses, organizations, or private or public institutions operating in the food and agricultural sectors. Some examples include: farms; non-profit organizations; publishers; small, medium or large-scale producers or factories; hotels, restaurants, or catering companies; consulting agencies; communications agencies; event organizers; tour operators; etc.
With this experience, students will gain professional skills such as marketing operations and strategy, online and offline communications, product evaluation and sales, food and wine tour operation, event organization, research and development, food policy work, project management, etc.
The Career Center supports students in the organization of about 150 internships each year, of which approximately 65% take place in Italy and 35% abroad – both within and outside of Europe.
The internships connected with the Graduate and Master programs are curricular internships regulated by Italian and European law. Being educational in goal, the intern is not guaranteed any form of retribution.
